Danny's Accomplishments for Ontario Engineers
- In past roles has provided a strong VOICE of the engineering profession that is heard by
advocating with all levels of government, the public at large and
other professional associations in Ontario and across Canada.
- Participatory role to protect the professional interests of
engineers in Provincial Legislation such as the Clean Water Act, Brownfields Statute Law Amendment Act, Limitations Act, Ontario Building Code Act, Drinking Water Source Protection Act and Professional Engineers Act.
- Advanced the economic interests of engineers by being personally involved in:
- Successfully advocating to the public and private sectors Qualification Based Selection of engineering services that is based on
quality, innovation, value added and competence. NOT solely on price.
- Chair and publish the annual Employer Salary Survey that encompasses a wide range of engineering activities
- Chair the committee that publish the Schedule of Fees for Engineering Services used as a guideline in both the private and
public sectors
- Negotiated a competitive long term Home and Auto Insurance Program available to all engineers
- Negotiated a competitive long term Professional Liability Insurance Program available to all engineers
- Ensured the provision and availability of on-going relevant Professional Development courses that benefit engineers in the workplace
