Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), as an elected member of the initial Board of Directors, created, through consensus, an organization that represents 65,000 Professional Engineers across Ontario with a mandate to advance the professional and economic interests of members, raise awareness of the role of Professional Engineers and enhance their professional image. Developed the infrastructure needed to facilitate the development of member services, advocacy and professional development. Worked with engineers across the province to develop the OSPE as the Voice of and for the engineering profession in Ontario.

- London Hydro Electric Commission, as a Commissioner on the Board assumed legal, fiscal and moral responsibilities inherent in providing electricity to more than 120,000 customers for the sixth largest utility in Ontario. Determined and established policies to ensure delivery of the highest standards of service. Analyzed and evaluated the total operation of the Commission including safeguarding assets and maintaining financial stability. Assured that plans and programs are conformed to approved budgets and policies. Selected and appointed the General Manager and approved the appointment of Senior Management staff.

- For the University of Western Ontario, as a Member of the Board of Governors, ensured the logical and systemic growth and development of the University Community congruent with a student population in excess of 20,000 with more than $400 million in revenue. Spent eight years on committees ranging from Audit Committee with the responsibility of controlling all the University funds to working with students on the University Committee Centre Directorate (Student Council) to the Resources and Planning Committee which develops the University’s long-term strategy and corresponding fiduciary requirements.

- For the University Hospital, as the University of Western Ontario’s Board Of Governors’ appointed member to the Hospital Board of Directors assisted in the development of a conjoint Strategic Plan to amalgamate London’s three teaching hospitals to achieve the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness and at the same time ensure that each institution provide services consistent with its core competencies. Utilized the hospital’s $150 million revenue to reverse its financial operating position from a deficit to surplus.

- For King’s College, as the University of Western Ontario’s Board of Governors’ appointed member to the King’s College Board of Directors, managed the relationship with the largest of Western’s three affiliated colleges. Aided in the formation of policies to guide the investment, management and control of financial resources including the compilation of annual budgets, setting of fees and appointment of auditors.

- For Victoria Hospital Corporation, as a member of the Board of Directors for over ten years, partnered with hospital staff and committees (at two separate medical campuses), municipal, provincial and federal governments to plan and build a new hospital facility for one of the oldest and largest (annualized operating budget in excess of $200 million) hospitals in South Western Ontario. Secured million of dollars for the Vic Fund for the development of the new hospital facility. Ensured that the plans and transitions did not deviate from the medical emphasis on Pediatrics, Oncology and Ambulatory Care while providing a state-of-the-art, efficient patient-centric new hospital.
